Former New York City Police Commission Bernard Kerik --Police Commissioner on 9/11--who spent four months in Iraq after the fall of Baghdad has this to say about the 'missing weapons':

" John Kerry has been saying for the last year --depending on what day you talk to him-- he's been saying there were no weapons, Saddam was not a threat. OK, well, yesterday he's screaming and yelling that Saddam was a threat with the weapons that are missing. Bottom line: There aren't any weapons or munitions missing that we didn't secure.
What John Kerry doesn't know or doesn't understand is that we seized more than 280,000 tons that were detonated already. We seized another 160,000 tons that are pending detonation."

He went on to say: "People have to realize that all of Iraq was a weapons cache. The whole country was saturated with explosives. And this is what President Bush meant when he talked about the threat. This was a part of that threat. We have been addressing the issue since we got there. The problem is that John Kerry just doesn't have a clue." via Hugh Hewitt

MSNBC reporting:
" U.S Defense officials said Tuesday that the materials could have vanished during a period of about 3 weeks, between March 15th, 2003. when inspectors for the IAEA confirmed that at least some of the materials were still stored under IAEA seal at Al-Qaqaa, and April 4th, when troops arrived."

the 101rst Airborne's Screaming Eagles, the troops there at the time are saying the weapons were not there when they arrived. Like I have said many times before, I will believe our warriors before I will believe any partisan news anchor or newspaper.

Nice try though.

Update : LGF: “Chief US Weapons inspector Charles Duelfer issued an urgent warning about the weapons cache at Al-Qaqaa—in 1995—and the International Atomic Energy Agency opted to ignore the warning and let Saddam Hussein keep his explosives.” via Protein Wisdom

Lets see, Bush was not President in 1995. Who will the left blame this on??

***Sorry about that totally wierd update post. I don't know what happened. It might be because I was trying to blog while helping my 11 yr old with Science, running outside with my 2 little ones to see the eclipse and helping type a paper for my daughter.
ANWAY!!! This is what it was suppose to say:

A soldier with the 101st Airborne had this to say:

"I was with the 101st when we RIP’d (Relieved in Place) the 3rd ID in that region.
380 tons of explosives would require about 40 truckloads to haul it away. It would have taken more than 1 week (and an unbelievable amount of man-hours and heavy-moving equipment) simply to load the trucks. To imply that those trucks could have been loaded and then driven away unnoticed, under the watchful eye of the 3rd ID is absolutely ludicrous. I know you’re not a military type, but you’re a smart enough guy to understand this.
No, those explosives were moved well before any Americans ever crossed the border. It’s the only feasible scenario, and it fits right in with Saddam’s gameplan. A retired Iraqi Air Force General (now an employ at Mosul Airfield) explained Saddam’s looney strategy to me over tea one day."

I have said it many time before and I will say it again. I believe the warrior.
