Just a thought on the Petraeus report.

There will be the usual disagreement with the Democrats on this report. It is a report they requested and now are calling the "Bush Report" to discredit it, but here is how the Washington Post describes it in brief:

The top U.S. commander in Iraq told Congress today that the military objectives of the Bush administration's troop increase strategy in Iraq "are in large measure being met," and he forecast a reduction of U.S. forces "to pre-surge levels" without jeopardizing gains in the months ahead.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't this what the Democrats want? A reduction of U.S. forces? Does this good news not count to them because of the positive report of our surge working? Shouldn't all Americans be happy that it worked and that we can begin to bring our boys home? It just seems to me that everyone wins here. Unless one doesn't really care about winning, but about making sure Bush and our military never look right.

On a side note, do the protesters (code Pink it looks like) have any idea how ridiculous they look screaming on TV? Good grief, even Democrat House Armed Services Chairman Ike Skelton called them a**holes when he thought the mike was off. Do they honestly think this sway anyone to their side?
