Blame

Youtube doesn't allow Democrats to lie anymore and hope we won't remember the past.

Open Border Blood

Fox News is reporting about that little boy was kidnapped in Las Vegas:

LAS VEGAS — A relative of a boy allegedly kidnapped by men posing as police officers may have owned a Mexican drug cartel, FOX News has learned.

Police said the family of 6-year-old Cole Puffinburger was involved in the illegal drug trade.

The Mexican citizens have had to endure these kinds of kidnappings for while.

Back in August I wrote this post:

I have been hearing about these gangs in Mexico that are kidnapping wealthy people for ransom. More than 430 abductions were reported in 2007, up 35% on the previous year. The report I heard on TV suggested that the police may be in on it.

We may think this doesn't affect us, but Mexico is right next door and with our open borders, it's only a matter of time.

So when I saw this article I was sickened. Mexican hitmen kill 8 at prayer in rehab centre. They seem to think that former drug dealers were being hidden there. But the war is over turf for drug running. Where?

Here, of course:

Some 2,000 people have died this year in a drug war, mostly between rival gangs, for control of routes into the United States.........Mexico's most-wanted man, Joaquin "Shorty" Guzman, is fighting local drug baron Vicente Carrillo Fuentes, boss of the Juarez cartel, for control of Ciudad Juarez and its lucrative smuggling corridor into the United States.

Things seem to becoming more and more violent in Mexico over turf and getting the drugs to the United States. How long will it be until that bloody violence increases to that degree here? Not long I imagine.

What is it going to take for us to get serious about this? Will it take these drug thugs killing innocents in mass across the border on our side?

Americans need to wake up and realize that their casual drug use is rooted in violence, murder, and blood. Good God, isn't this something we all can agree on?

Well, the kidnappings here have begun. Are we going to wake up?

Obama is swimming in the $$$$

What does one do with all that cash?

Well, there is this.

It's the Iranian caviar that really makes me laugh.

Friday Stuff

I've got friends coming for the weekend, so I will be busy cooking today, but I will try and get on the computer when I can. I could see by reading through blogs and news items yesterday, that I wasn't alone in my anger about how 'Joe the Plumber' is being attacked for just asking a perfectly legitimate question. People are seething about this, as well they should be. Let's face it. If Obama had just answered something like, "I am going to raise taxes a bit on those making that, but 95% of Americans get a tax cut." Which has been his usual talking point on the matter, then this whole thing would never have been on the news at all.

What made it news was Obama's answer. It revealed a fundamental truth about Obama and that can't be tolerated in an Obamanation.

This is a good thing. We needed to get angry about this sort of thing. If this doesn't bring out the base, nothing will.

I got an e-mail from the Obama campaign (I'm on a e-mail list somewhere) that was asking for phone volunteers. It said in the e-mail that Al Gore was double digits ahead in October in 2000. Which shows me that the Obama campaign is very nervous that they can't close the deal. The polls are tightening. It's all about the 'get out the vote' now. And let's hope it's not about 'get out the ineligible vote.'

In other news, sometimes the left falls over itself trying to prove that the G.O.P is racist and hatemongering. And since that is absurd, they end up falling on their face when trying to prove it.

Case in point? Leftwing Talking Points Memo published a mailer from the Virginia GOP yesterday that he says shows a picture Obama's (eyes only) with the caption, "America must look evil in the eye and never flinch." Talking Points Memo was horrified! That is until someone pointed out to him that the picture was not Obama, ..............but Osama bin Laden.

He tried to sputter an excuse, but I'm guessing he just thinks all brown people look alike, right? Look here for the pic and Talking Points Memo's effort to save face (so to speak).

Never mind that the rest of the mailer had pics of the President of Iran, Mohammad Khatami, North Korea leader Kim Jong-il, and Hugo Chavez. TPM just assumed the "evil" pic was Obama.

Also, it seems there wasn't enough time to sing the National Anthem at an Obama rally yesterday. More important things going on, you know. 2 minutes is a lot time after all.

I guess you heard about Sarah Palin's gaffe where she said, referring to what's important to America, "It happens to be a three letter word, Jobs. J.O.B.S." Yeah. That's a three letter word?! What? You didn't hear about? You didn't hear the endless jokes about it? Oh...wait...That's because it was Joe Biden who said that, NOT Sarah Palin. My bad. I'm sure SNL will be all over it.

Amid all this trash, I hope we don't forget what is at stake at this election. If you want an excellent overview of that, see this Wall Street Journal piece today.

Be afraid. Very afraid.

Now, I'm off to enjoy good food, good wine, and good people. I hope to not think about how our media has become a complete joke.

A New Low

I thought I had seen everything in politics, but I was wrong. The Obama people have made history with the depths they are willing to go to. Voter fraud isn't enough.

In the entire history of campaigns has the media and the another campaign EVER gone after a citizen who asked a candidate a question? Ever?

They looked into Joe's tax records, his businesses, and I'm guessing an Obama supporter is at his Doctor's office as we speak, trying to dig up some dirt there as well. Talk about a police state!

All this for asking a question??????

This is all about distracting us from Obama's socialist answer.

I more appalled by this than even the Palin stuff because after all, Palin is a politician and that is what you get when you are in the public eye running for office.

But I never thought I would see the day when a ordinary citizen is harassed, investigated, and trashed just because he dared to asked a legitimate question of a candidate.

Welcome to the Obamanation.

Joe The Plumber

Here is the video of Obama and Joe and then listen to Joe talk about it with Neil Cavuto on Fox News.

We are all now 'Joe the Plumber'

This was by far the best debate so far. Both guys were up for a fight. Obama likes to talk about taxing corporations but the truth is when you tax a company more, someone will pay for that. You may be one of the ones Obama says he won't tax, but if you lose your job because he taxed your company, then I don't think that whole "not taxing 95% of you" mantra, works for you. Like McCain says, taxing anyone more at a time like this just doesn't make sense.

But let's get back to Joe the Plumber. Obama was caught off guard with Joe and let it slip what he is really about. Obama is about class warfare and "spread the wealth," which is socialism, pure and simple. At least McCain pounded that home. People need to understand that. It is a fundamental difference between McCain and Obama. Punishing success never works.

McCain brought two very good points that are related. He said that Obama is certainly an eloquent speaker, but you need to listen to the words. He then pointed out how Obama says he would "look into" offshore drilling, which translates into "never going to happen." How Obama thinks we are going to be oil independent in 10 years without that is beyond me.

Obama talks a good game on abortion and school vouchers, but he is as far left on this issues as they come. I'm not sure how that translates with independents. When they were discussing the "Born Alive" act and Obama just lied about it, I wish McCain had quoted Obama on the floor of the House in Chicago. I have heard the audio. Obama says that he is against medical care for babies born alive after a botched abortion because, and I quote, "it puts a burden on the original decision."

Also, regarding Palin, I don't think the political pundits or polls realize or show how many families are affected by having a disabled child. Palin resonates with them. People with Down Syndrome babies understand the challenges that come with any child with a disability. Autism has been rising and I personally know about 5 families with children with autism. I don't think there is any doubt that Palin will make sure that there be as much done as possible for these families, including much more research into the causes of autism.

I am also glad that McCain pointed out how negative the Obama campaign has been. Obama is the first to whine about "attacks," but he does pretty good on that score as well. The media just gives him a pass though. Obama complains about "527" groups and their ads and I wish McCain has mentioned that horrid cancer ad that one of Obama's 527 groups put out. Please. The negativity goes both ways and we all know it.

The best line of the night was McCain telling Obama,"I am not George Bush. If you wanted to run against George Bush you should have run 4 years ago." It's the best line because Obama has been trying to paint McCain with Bush the entire time. That is what James Carville strongly suggested he do after the convention and that is exactly what he did. But it's simply dishonest. McCain is as different from Bush as he can be, other than sharing conservative principles. And even there they both go off in different directions. Bush never used his veto pen on these big spending bills, McCain promises to do so every time. McCain reaches across the aisle for compromise and sponsors bills with people like Ted Kennedy. They are as different in style and substance as any two people can be.

We are in the home stretch and Obama is swimming in money. He has McCain outspent 5 to 1. He is the darling of the media and Hollywood. If he can't close the deal with all that, then I feel pretty hopeful.

A Very Close Look at ACORN

The news is finally reporting on ACORN and massive voter fraud, but they haven't really been reporting on what exactly ACORN is or does. That is an interesting as the voter fraud story and even more disturbing.

Back in 2003 Sol Stern wrote about ACORN in City Journal. Back then ACORN had chapters in 700 poor neighborhoods in 50 cities. You can bet they have expanded, especially with the generous gift of over $800,000 from the Obama campaign. According to Stern, ACORN has two radio stations, a housing corporation, a law office, and relationships with a host of trade-union locals.

ACORN likes to portray itself as simply organizing the poor to promote social change, but in reality it is a radical anti-capitalism, pro government control, welfare promoting, intimidation tactics monster who is remarkably effective in enacting it's policy goals. It's as radical as Code Pink, but just manages to fly under the radar. At least it did until now.

In ACORN's "People's Platform" they state: "We will continue our fight...until we have shared the wealth, until we have won our freedom..." This sounds familiar, doesn't it?

ACORN has been effective in "affecting change" by working from the ground up to implement their more "progressive' agenda. They start in local towns and cities. And it works. Baltimore, for example, gives ACORN $50,000 a year to provide "housing counseling" to the poor. I wonder if anyone at all has ever checked to see what this "housing counseling" exactly does. I'd be interested to know. That is just one small example of many.

Get this. Chicago’s ACORN leader won a seat on the Board of Aldermen as a candidate of the leftist New Party. Does that sound familiar?

If the leftist New Party sounds socialistic. It is. As ACORN is. It proposes things such as forcing large companies to obtain "an exit visa from the community board signifying that the company has adequately compensated all its employees and the community at large for losses due to relocation." ACORN uses phrases like "sustainable development" that in reality limits the growth of suburbs so companies and people can't leave the city limits so easily. And the most socialistic of all? They wish to force suburbs to share their tax revenues with the cities.

ACORN's lofty goal of organizing the poor and powerless has done very little to give them power or keep them from being poor. Why? Well, that is pretty simple. They fail to teach self responsibility and hard work. The poor do not need to be organized, they need to be empowered by their own dedication to hard work, determination for a better life, and (most importantly) making good life choices. But ACORN doesn't see it that way.

There is no doubt that the inner cities of our country are filled with helplessness and despair. But what about personal responsibility? What about the root causes? Drug and alcohol abuse, single mothers, welfare dads who have many children with many women, and crime. Are they the causes? Stern asked the executive director of ACORN, Steve Kest, about this and he shrugged those things off. "“We are more focused on irresponsible behavior in the corporate sector,” he responded. “I don’t think [illegitimacy] comes anywhere close to the irresponsible behavior of people running the largest businesses in this country.”

Really? Are you kidding me? Corporations are more responsible for the poor being poor than personal lifestyle choices? Good grief.

As you might imagine, where there is so much money, there is fraud. But I'm not talking voter fraud here. I'm talking embezzlement. In July The New York Times reported that the brother of ACORN founder had embezzled 1 million dollars from ACORN, but in an effort to keep this from becoming public, ACORN did not alert police. Instead Drummond Pike, the founder and chief executive of the Tides Foundation, who has long poured money into ACORN, paid off the note to make it right. In a July 12 e-mail message to the leader of ACORN, Mr. Kest, Acorn’s political director, Zach Pollett, wrote: “I talked to Drummond on this yesterday and had Beth Kingsley” — Acorn’s lawyer — “prepare a ‘keep your yaps shut’ confidentiality memo to people at Acorn and CCI.”

Now, are you ready to come full circle here with ACORN? Forget voter fraud, embezzlement, and socialism at it's core. Let's look at the failure of the housing market. ACORN was all about the 1977 federal law, the Community Reinvestment Act (I think you may have heard of them lately), which forced banks to make bad loans to the poor. In order for banks to get approval for mergers and acquisitions they need to prove they have not discriminated against minority communities in their lending. The CRA gave “community groups” the opportunity to lodge complaints against the banks. And you better believe ACORN was all about that. ACORN developed a lucrative side business as an “advisor” to banks seeking regulatory approvals. In other words, banks had no choice but to give risky loans and ACORN was there as the watchdog to make sure it happened. Banks then took hundreds of individual mortgages packaged together and sold them to investors as “mortgage-backed securities." And we all know how that turned out.

The last and the most disturbing aspect of ACORN is the indocrination of our children. I never use the word "indocrination" because it is usually an exaggeration, but not in this case. For well over a decade, ACORN has used foundation grants to start up its very own New York public schools. They use cozy and sweet names like the Bread and Roses High School. Their curriculum is based on "social justice" and "social change" themes. They have even bused kids from New York to Washington to demonstrate against "tax cuts for the rich." Does that sound familiar?

No wonder Obama is trying to run as far from this organization as possible. Voter fraud is just the beginning. But when "community organizing" is at the core of your resume and that is the very foundation of ACORN, and the fact that Obama was so good at it he trained other leaders at ACORN to do it, it's kind of hard to run away from those connections.

But then again, Obama has gotten pretty good at running away from his less desirable connections.

It's a Shocker

CNN is actually reporting the relationship with Obama and ACORN including the $800,000 the Obama campaign gave to ACORN to register people (disney world?) to vote.

Christopher Buckley and the sad goodbye

Christopher Buckley, William F. Buckley's son has resigned from National Review after a ruckus he caused by endorsing Obama.

I wish I could say I was surprised, but I am not.

William F. Buckley Jr. probably did more to bring me into the conservative movement than any other writer out there. I started reading National Review when I was 21, over 25 years ago. Buckley made me think. He made look at personal responsibility and the role of government as my politically active Democratic family never had. William F. Buckley literally changed my life. He made me want more education. He made me want to be personally responsible for everything in my life and he convinced me, without a doubt, that government was the problem, not the answer. His own personal Catholic faith was an inspiration to me.

I suppose in a very real way, everything good that has happened to me in my life evolved from those beliefs. My husband and his big wonderful Catholic family. My desire to have more children and the wondrous blessings they have given me. Pure happiness is what they have given me. My best friends for 15 years that I met in the pro-life movement. My writing and my faith. All of it can be traced back to the opening of my mind and heart as I read Buckley and other inspirational books.

I am sure Christopher Buckley is a wonderful person. Anyone raised by William F. Buckley Jr. would have to be, but like Ron Reagan, Ronald Reagan's son, I think he needed to separate himself from that kind of greatness.

But the reason I am not surprised is two fold. First, Pat Buckley, Christopher's mother, was a big time socialite in New York. So Christopher grew up around that as well. Very liberal as you can imagine. Second of all, I knew when Christopher Buckley's wonderful book "Thank You for Smoking" was turned into a movie that he would be exposed to all those wonderful witty Hollywood types as well. Believe me, they can be seductive. So they must be right politically, right? Riiight.

Such was the downfall of Christopher Buckley.

It makes me sad of course, he is a wonderful writer, but you can't be a part of the "Big Tent" party if you are partying in the other tent so to speak.

The First Thing Obama Will Do If Elected

The first thing he says he will do is sign the Freedom of Choice Act.

That is his first priority. What will the FOC act do? It will overturn the Partial Birth Abortion Ban that outlaws the procedure where a baby's body is delivered, but the head is left in the birth canal, and then the Abortionist sticks scissors into the baby's head and then the scissors are removed and a suction catheter is inserted. The child's brains are sucked out, causing the skull to collapse. The dead baby is then removed.

The FOC act also eliminates parental notification for a minor for a surgical procedure that changes their daughter's life forever. Your 14 year old daughter could have an abortion, a surgical procedure, and you will never know. It also uses our tax dollars to fund abortion.

By his own words, it's the first thing he will do.

Just think on that a while, will you?

Punish Success

I've been wanting to address this for awhile, buy I didn't want to seem like I'm whining. But this video just made me so angry I'm going to go there.

Here is the conversation between the man and the video and Obama:

Plumber to Obama: “Your new tax plan is going to tax me more. Isn’t it?”

Obama: “It’s not that I want to punish your success, I just want to make sure that everybody that is behind you, that they have a chance for success too. I think that when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”

This is socialism. Pure and simple.

Over the years, as many of you know, I have given of my time and treasure to help those less fortunate. The difference between what I do and what Obama wants us to do is that I do it voluntarily AND it goes straight to those who need the help and in the manner I wish for it to help, instead of through a bloated government bureaucracy. I want to spread the wealth too, I just don't want to be forced to do it.

When my husband and I got married 25 yrs ago, he was still in college. He put himself through college. We spent years paying back low interest school loans. We didn't have 2 nickles to rub together. I remember regularly going to a happy hour that had free appetizers. We would order a beer and the appetizers would be our dinner.

We bought used cars. We survived seven layoffs. We bought houses below what we could afford and we went in and put in wood floors, painted, and fixed up and then sold them at a profit. When we had our children I was determined to stay home. I shopped at garage sales, I bought used baby furniture and fixed it up.

For 20 years we put 19% of our income into savings and investments. We have no debt. We never ever carried any credit card debt. We only bought used cars when we could pay cash for them. I could write a book on how we saved money.

All that work and effort has paid off. We are doing very well and of course we have no debt. But we do have 2 children in college and five cars (3 of my kids are driving and live in 3 different towns). So, although we do very well we have a lot of expenses.

And now, Obama wants to do exactly what he says he doesn't want to do......punish our success. We scrimped and saved for so many years so we could reap the benefits of our hard work and Obama is just going to take it away.......just like that. We already pay an insane amount of taxes (our property tax bill alone is $10,000 a year). And now Obama will take more.

I never thought in my lifetime that socialism would come knocking at my door.

But here it is.

Vote for McCain.

There are a hundred reasons to vote against Obama. Anyone who reads this blog knows what they are. But let's not forget why we should vote FOR McCain. He did a pretty good job of reminding us today in Virginia Beach: (via NRO)

Three weeks from now, you will choose a new President. Choose well. There is much at stake.

These are hard times. Our economy is in crisis. Financial markets are collapsing. Credit is drying up. Your savings are in danger. Your retirement is at risk. Jobs are disappearing. The cost of health care, your children's college, gasoline and groceries are rising all the time with no end in sight. While your most important asset — your home — is losing value every day.
Americans are fighting in two wars. We face many enemies in this dangerous world, and they are waiting to see if our current troubles will permanently weaken us.

The next President won't have time to get used to the office. He won't have the luxury of studying up on the issues before he acts. He will have to act immediately. And to do that, he will need experience, courage, judgment and a bold plan of action to take this country in a new direction. We cannot spend the next four years as we have spent much of the last eight: waiting for our luck to change. The hour is late; our troubles are getting worse; our enemies watch. We have to act immediately. We have to change direction now. We have to fight.

I've been fighting for this country since I was seventeen years old, and I have the scars to prove it. If I'm elected President, I will fight to take America in a new direction from my first day in office until my last. I'm not afraid of the fight, I'm ready for it.

I'm not going to spend $700 billion dollars of your money just bailing out the Wall Street bankers and brokers who got us into this mess. I'm going to make sure we take care of the people who were devastated by the excesses of Wall Street and Washington. I'm going to spend a lot of that money to bring relief to you, and I'm not going to wait sixty days to start doing it.
I have a plan to protect the value of your home and get it rising again by buying up bad mortgages and refinancing them so if your neighbor defaults he doesn't bring down the value of your house with him.

I have a plan to let retirees and people nearing retirement keep their money in their retirement accounts longer so they can rebuild their savings.
I have a plan to rebuild the retirement savings of every worker.

I have a plan to hold the line on taxes and cut them to make America more competitive and create jobs here at home.

Raising taxes makes a bad economy much worse. Keeping taxes low creates jobs, keeps money in your hands and strengthens our economy.

The explosion of government spending over the last eight years has put us deeper in debt to foreign countries that don't have our best interests at heart. It weakened the dollar and made everything you buy more expensive.
If I'm elected President, I won't spend nearly a trillion dollars more of your money, on top of the $700 billion we just gave the Treasury Secretary, as Senator Obama proposes. Because he can't do that without raising your taxes or digging us further into debt. I'm going to make government live on a budget just like you do.

I will freeze government spending on all but the most important programs like defense, veterans care, Social Security and health care until we scrub every single government program and get rid of the ones that aren't working for the American people. And I will veto every single pork barrel bill Congresses passes.

If I'm elected President, I won't fine small businesses and families with children, as Senator Obama proposes, to force them into a new huge government run health care program, while I keep the cost of the fine a secret until I hit you with it. I will bring down the skyrocketing cost of health care with competition and choice to lower your premiums, and make it more available to more Americans. I'll make sure you can keep the same health plan if you change jobs or leave a job to stay home.

I will provide every single American family with a $5000 refundable tax credit to help them purchase insurance. Workers who already have health care insurance from their employers will keep it and have more money to cover costs. Workers who don't have health insurance can use it to find a policy anywhere in this country to meet their basic needs.

If I'm elected President, I won't raise taxes on small businesses, as Senator Obama proposes, and force them to cut jobs. I will keep small business taxes where they are, help them keep their costs low, and let them spend their earnings to create more jobs.

If I'm elected President, I won't make it harder to sell our goods overseas and kill more jobs as Senator Obama proposes. I will open new markets to goods made in America and make sure our trade is free and fair. And I'll make sure we help workers who've lost a job that won't come back find a new one that won't go away.

The last President to raise taxes and restrict trade in a bad economy as Senator Obama proposes was Herbert Hoover. That didn't turn out too well. They say those who don't learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them. Well, my friends, I know my history lessons, and I sure won't make the mistakes Senator Obama will.

If I'm elected President, we're going to stop sending $700 billion to countries that don't like us very much. I won't argue to delay drilling for more oil and gas and building new nuclear power plants in America, as Senator Obama does. We will start new drilling now. We will invest in all energy alternatives — nuclear, wind, solar, and tide. We will encourage the manufacture of hybrid, flex fuel and electric automobiles. We will invest in clean coal technology. We will lower the cost of energy within months, and we will create millions of new jobs.

Let me give you the state of the race today. We have 22 days to go. We're 6 points down. The national media has written us off. Senator Obama is measuring the drapes, and planning with Speaker Pelosi and Senator Reid to raise taxes, increase spending, take away your right to vote by secret ballot in labor elections, and concede defeat in Iraq. But they forgot to let you decide. My friends, we've got them just where we want them.

What America needs in this hour is a fighter; someone who puts all his cards on the table and trusts the judgment of the American people. I come from a long line of McCains who believed that to love America is to fight for her. I have fought for you most of my life. There are other ways to love this country, but I've never been the kind to do it from the sidelines.

This has always been an uphill battle. A big one. The media doesn't even try to hide their bias for Obama. Hollywood has poured their lefty love into the Obama campaign with money and their celebrity. The media and Hollywood have painted an unfair and unjust picture of Sarah Palin and the media doesn't correct it. Obama has outspent us 5 to 1. ACORN has spread voter fraud across this nation in favor of Obama. Obama's lawyers threaten those who point out Obama's true record and past.

So Obama has the media in his pocket and all the money. He has put on a mask of moderation. The media refuses to expose the Democrats for being behind this economic meltdown and the cronies in the Obama campaign who were a big part of it. But the American people are smarter than they are given credit for.

Just remember to vote, tell your relatives and friends to vote. Give them rides and volunteer for McCain.

Is it possible that we will elect a novice with a questionable past and not enough experience promising the moon to get elected? Yes.

But if we make sure that people understand that the alternative is a war hero who has integrity, experience, and has always done what was best for America, telling us the truth, even when we didn't like it. Then Americans will do the right thing and elect John McCain.

Free speech for me, but not for you

When I spoke to a NRA board member the other day he told that the Obama campaign had threatened radio stations in Pennsylvania and Ohio if they ran a NRA ad called "Hunter."

An Obama lawyer sent a letter to the stations that read in part:

"For the sake of both FCC licensing requirements and the public interest, your station should refuse to continue to air this advertisement."

In other words, "We know where you live."

I really didn't believe the NRA guy until I looked this up myself. Does it bother any one else that Obama's lawyers are threatening free speech?

As Michael Barone points out:

Other Obama supporters have threatened critics with criminal prosecution. In September, St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch and St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce warned citizens that they would bring criminal libel prosecutions against anyone who made statements against Obama that were “false.” I had been under the impression that the Alien and Sedition Acts had gone out of existence in 1801-02. Not so, apparently, in metropolitan St. Louis. Similarly, the Obama campaign called for a criminal investigation of the American Issues Project when it ran ads highlighting Obama’s ties to Ayers.

These attempts to shut down political speech have become routine for liberals. Congressional Democrats sought to reimpose the “fairness doctrine” on broadcasters, which until it was repealed in the 1980s required equal time for different points of view. The motive was plain: to shut down the one conservative-leaning communications medium, talk radio. Liberal talk-show hosts have mostly failed to draw audiences, and many liberals can’t abide having citizens hear contrary views.

This is disturbing to say the least.

The Tar and Feathering of Sarah Palin

Has any Vice Presidential candidate in the history of our country ever been smeared the way Sarah Palin has? I thought Hillary was treated badly in the primary, but that was a ticklefest compared to what Palin has been put through.

They said she faked her pregnancy, used her down syndrome baby as a "prop," was a member of a secessionist party, charged women for rape kits, had an affair, didn't support contraception, was a creationist, and was a bad mother for running.

All, not just lies, but damned lies. And some people are still circulating those lies. They even photoshopped and passed around as real, a photo of Palin a bikini holding a shotgun.

SNL makes fun of Palin suggesting she may not have grip on world affairs, when in reality it was Biden who showed that he didn't have a clue about many of the questions asked in the debate. It was Biden who didn't have a clue to the role of the Vice Presidency. SNL made fun of Palin as a "beauty queen," when it reality it is Biden who has hair plugs, self tans, and who obviously uses teeth whitener as toothpaste.

Now the left gleefully points to MSM headlines that say Palin abused her power while Governor, even though the report says she did nothing illegal. But that's not the best part. Does the left even know what they are defending here? The Public Safety Commissioner she fired serves at the pleasure of the Governor and she can fire him for any reason. But the left says that she fired him because he refused to fire her ex-brother in law, a state trooper. But what many on the left don't want you to understand (and it is not in any of the MSM reports that I have read) is that her ex-brother in law was a child abuser. He tazered his own 10 yr old step-son with the tazer he used in his capacity as a state trooper. I would hope that EVERYONE would want this guy fired. I would hope that everyone would see how right that was. But the left would rather defend a man who abused a child than to defend a woman running for Vice President on the Republican ticket.

THAT is how twisted it has all become.

Sexism is alive and well in the Democratic party. Make no mistake about that.

Update: Michelle Malkin has a display of the hatred and insanity that is out there for Sarah. Oh boy, even I wasn't aware of most of this.
