Remember when they sold cool things at J.C. Pennys?

This is taken from a 1975 J.C Penny's catalog. I saw this over at boing and boing and just had to post it. For many years in the 70's we had the one on the right on our coffee table. No, my parents weren't hippies. It was purely decorative. But I will never forget my older brother saying "OMG, Dad has a bong on the coffee table." And I asked him what that was and he told me it was for smoking pot. We laughed ourselves silly and we never told Dad.
