Not surprisingly, the Persian-language transcript of Ahmadinejad's speech and answers at Columbia University has excised both the question about treatment of gays in Iran and President Ahmadinejad’s denial of gays being in Iran.

Also, not surprisingly, Ahmadinejad's website which claims to provide the authoritative transcripts of his speeches and is relied upon by the news media in Iran, does not mention the gay reference either. To date, not a single Persian-language media outlet in Iran has reported on Ahmadinejad's remarks regarding gays.
