Very Strange.

I watched the interview with Jill Carroll (the journalist just released by her captors) on the news this evening and I felt the same as Jonah at NRO did, that something is just not right about a woman defending her captors in such a manner when they killed her translator in cold blood.

My first thought was Patty Hearst all over again. Jonah mentions it. The Stockholm syndrome. I think this has to be what is going on here.

UPDATE: Here is an interview with a NBC producer who has met with Jill Carroll. I now understand that these inteviews that Jill made were filmed while she was still not safe. One says what one has to to stay alive. Let's give her the benefit of the doubt here. She has been through hell and at least deserves that.
