U.S. News and World Report Dec. 6th edition says that Top officials expect that the marine under investigation for shooting an unharmed insurgent (the whole Kevin Sites thing) will be cleared despite the media outcry. ( and it WAS just the media) The officials argue that the soldier knew about booby-trapped bodies and he felt he had less than a second to shoot or be killed. One official suggested that the public would support a decision not to prosecute.

Can I have a AMEN?
